Comunidad Montessori Cholloyan

A Montessori school from 1983 in San Andrés Cholula, the first bilingual one in Puebla, that takes its students to the Montessori Model UN.

Montessori Cholloyan was born in September 1983 as a personal life project. Its founder, driven by the need to give her son the best possible education, found in the Montessori method a philosophy that respects children's freedom and individuality, and together with her husband built a place where every child can be free, make their own decisions and develop their potential to the full.

More than forty years back it up: it is, the school says, the first bilingual Montessori school in Puebla. Its guides are AMI certified and its programmes approved by the Mexican SEP. Montessori material is at the centre of the work, under the idea that sums up how they accompany children: help me to do it by myself.

School life often leaves the classroom. There is a library, with reading rooms and reading circles; walks and outings, because an all-round education benefits from being outdoors; monthly celebrations following the festivities of the year; crafts during the camp, and trips to the Montessori Model United Nations to work on the Sustainable Development Goals.
